We strongly recommend printing in Black or Blue on a multi-colour background (basecoat) to increase the lure's appeal to both fish and your customers. Our most popular basecoats generally combine white with an airbrushed, fluorescent stripe on the edge(s) of the spoon. Examples include:

We generally avoid printing on existing Len Thompson patterns like the "five-of-diamonds." The exception is the our Reverse Red pattern (a Red spoon with a White stripe).
- The finishing (logo/message) colour must be the same throughout the entire order, however depending on the quantity, we can paint one or more background patterns to add variety to your order.
- Although we cannot match "pantone" requests, please give us a call and we can suggest a few options that may fit your corporate/organization colours.

No. 0 and No. 2 are the two most popular Len Thompson sizes. The No. 00, 0, and 13 are general purpose spoons suitable for many types of fishing, whereas the No. 1 and 2 spoons are better suited for "big fish" areas. Should you wish to print on a Len Thompson size not mentioned above, please contact the factory.
Artwork
The better the artwork, the better the end result. We require a "hard copy of a camera ready proof"... a good quality black image on a white background. E-mailed and faxed images are not acceptable. We have produced attractive lures with both creative and simple designs using the following guidelines.
- Logos or pictures generally add to the design.
- We can print solid tones only... half tones cannot be printed.
- A fancy, thick font often looks good... plain text generally looks a little boring.
- The design should "fit" the shape of the spoon.
For a nominal fee, most printers will make the adjustments required to your letterhead or business cards to produce appropriate artwork. Although we can do some very detailed work, very fine lines are difficult to transfer and thus, some artwork modification may be required. To avoid wasting time or incurring expensive courier charges by sending artwork that will not fit our requirements, fax or e-mail a proof for verification before sending the final hard-copy.
