Len Thompson lures are known to be amazing casting lures due to the heavy weighted brass spoon and killer action, but did you know that they are also effective when jigging? When it comes to jigging it's all in the technique. Make sure you snap your rod up quickly when ice fishing a Len Thompson lure.
When you're out on the hard water, please keep safety in mind. Dress appropriately and always test the ice thickness as you make your way onto the ice. According to the Canadian Red Cross, ice thickness should be 15 cm for walking or skating, 20 cm for skating parties or games, and 25 cm for snowmobiles. Be sure to check the ice conditions in your area before you venture out.
Happy Jigging!
